From February 18 to March 27 at kim? galleries three new exhibitions: Kaspars Podnieks' "Communicating Vessels", Mārtiņš Ratniks - "Projections" and "Harald Szeemann: Documenta 5". Opening on February 17 at 19.00!
At kim? / VKN gallery - Kaspars Podnieks solo exhibit “Communicating Vessels”.
At kim? / RIXC gallery - Mārtiņš Ratniks solo exhibit “Projections”. There will be three projections at the exhibition, one of which will trace the trajectory of an imaginary object, yet the other two will be related to two-dimensional illusionary image of space, or conversely–an illusion of space created by a flat object. The work will be presented with a unique sonic piece created specially for it by Clausthome (Lauris Vorslavs, Ģirts Radziņš). Clausthome will also perform at the opening of the exhibition.
KIM? Contemporary Art Centre is proud to present the first historic project from ICI series “Exhibition in a Box” – “Harald Szeemann: Documenta 5”. The exhibition has been assembled by David Platzker (USA).
On March 3, at 6 pm, kim? invites to attend "Algorithm of the Exhibition" – reading by art historian Kaspars Vanags about Harald Szeemann’s work and the legendary exhibition “Documenta 5”. Further in the lecture art historian and curator Vilnis Vējš will introduce the parallel processes in the Latvian art in 1970s while art historian and curator Ieva Kulakova will speak about curatorial work nowadays.

The author of kim?'s poster and card for exhibitions and events in February and March is a designer Kristaps Grundšteins.
In February and March on our website's front page you can view a photo of one of kim? wall paintings by artist Arturs Bērziņš. Title of the work: "Everything belongs to the artist except the idea, which is ordered". Both wall paintings were created in the end of 2010.
