Kim? summer schools have commenced

kim? 

From Monday, 2 August until Monday, 16 August 40 young and inquisitive people mainly from rural areas will gather in Spīķeri for kim? Photo and Video Summer Schools.

Under the guidance of photographer and pedagogue Raimo Lielbriedis students of the Photo School will have the opportunity not only to make new friends, but also to learn the basics of photography, to learn about different photographic genres, to visit photographer Valts Kleins' studio, to have their very own photo session in the building of Latvian Radio, as well as to exhibit their works made during the summer school at study exhibition space mit.

Under the guidance of the Video School director Lauma Epnere and lecturers Dita Rietuma, Ivars Zviedris, Mārtiņš Rudzītis and others students of the Video School will have the opportunity to learn the basics principles of shooting, editing, animation and script-writing, as well as to learn about the history of cinema, to visit “Films Angel Studio”, and finally create their own short film, which will be shown at the study exhibition space mit.

Everyone is invited to attend exhibitions showcasing the works created during both summer schools at kim? study exhibition space mit, as well as at the touring exhibitions in autumn.
