NEWS
The call for applications for a residence in Berlin marks the beginning of collaboration between kim? and Künstlerhaus Bethanien, an internationally acclaimed centre of residence located in the German capital. The residence will provide one Latvian artist with an opportunity to live and work there for six months.

In July, a new section named ‘Support Us’ will be opened on www.kim.lv. Now each visitor will have an opportunity to choose the most agreeable form of donation and become a kim? friend, a kim? patron or a kim? sponsor. The contributors will receive special offers and discounts, as well as a sense of gratification.

On 18 June, the last of 292 applications for the kim? Summer Schools was received. In total 203 youths applied for the Photo School, while 89 applied for the Video School. Now 30 young photo and video artists from the rural areas and 10 from Riga are getting ready for a creative and inspiring week at Spīķeri.

kim? has begun organizing the Youth Festival which will take place during the Riga Celebration this August. On all 3 floors of the kim? building, as well as in kim? outdoor territory, visitors will have an opportunity to learn interactively about various contemporary art trends and their most notable representatives.
