In April, kim? and Heden – contemporary art centre in the Hague, the Netherlands – launched a joint artist in residence project. During the first residence kim? was hosting the young and promising Dutch artist Bas de Boer. Bas lived and worked in Riga for three months and during his stay he got acquainted with the contemporary art and culture scene not just in Latvia, but also in Estonia and Lithuania. kim? visitors had the opportunity to see works by Bas during Museum Night 2010 and from 3 July until 1 August  2010 at his exhibition "Cuckoo" at the kim? / VKN Gallery.
